Their Presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffu-Addo was defeated by Professor John Evans Atta-Mills of the National Democratic Congress(NDC).<br /> <br /> The Member of Parliment for New Juaben North Constituency which constitute Oyoko, Asokore, Effiduase, Jumapo, Suhyien, Akwadum and Mpaem, Honourable Hackmn Owusu Agyeman an NPP Parliamentary Candidate was however re-elected for a 4th term.
